Bluejay Bar

The Bluejay Bar is a bar located near Creighton University's campus and across from the Joslyn Art Museum at 2416 Davenport St. It is known for free beer after basketball games. It recently added the Bluejay Mug Club. On days of Creighton University Basketball Games, the Bluejay Bar offers a free shuttle service from the bar to the Qwest Center and back. In addition to the shuttle service, the 'Jay' offers complimentary beer for patrons for an hour after the concluson of a game. Every Wednesday night is known as "college nite" at the Jay. Starting at 9 o'clock, there is a five dollar cover charge to get in, and after that it is one dollar "you call its." The Jay also offers party buses to many out-of-town Creighton basketball games. On Tuesday nights the jay offers buy one get one on all drinks at the bar. Thursday nights are $4 big beers (32 oz.). The Jay also has a deck in back for people to sit when the weather is nice. The bar also has several dart boards, a pool table, arcade games, and a jukebox. The owner of the Bluejay Bar is Creighton Alumni Kai Ostrand. Known for his handsome face and athletic physique, Kai's role as GM of this crack den known commonly as the Jay will forever be campus lore. Much like the 33 shots he did on his 21st birthday and his love of a certain dog named Guiness.
